Problem
The brand needed a graphic that was distinctive, concise, and capable of immediately communicating their business identity. The challenge was designing something clean and striking while staying true to the raw, analog retro feel of VHS Boyz.
Process
The visual identity was brought to life across a merchandise lineup featuring graphic tees in multiple colorways and a signature zip hoodie. Every piece was designed with a heavy focus on production details, print methods, and garment specifications.
Solution
The workflow involved sourcing an industrial-style VHS camera blueprint and breaking it down into distinct components. By separating the layers in Photoshop and applying a bitmap dither effect to each one, I engineered a clean, technical dithered aesthetic that bridged retro media culture with modern design precision.
Results
The resulting apparel delivered a professional look that immediately conveyed the brand's dedication to craft. The drop successfully established a core visual identity, with the pieces remaining the brand's primary staple items to this day.
